I have an old school Sapphire and both motors aren’t working. The light eliminates fine. Has anyone had this issue. Also, I am wanting to change the bulb to LED but I’m afraid the light output will reduce. Thanks.

Hi, for the best advice on the motors, email Service@adj.com
We cannot help advise on using a LED lamp replacement as the unit was never designed to do so.
I spoke with American DJ and they apparently don’t care about customer service. They won’t even share a wiring schematic so I can trouble shoot the problem. I am willing to purchase the parts, but I’m at a dead end. Best to trash it I guess. Won’t purchase anything ADJ again since their customer service isn’t the best.
Hi, for liability reasons we cannot provide you any help from modifying the internals of any of our fixtures, and the fixture you requested information of is over 20 years old and we no longer have the schematic handy to share with you, or we gladly would do so.
We absolutely do care about our customers and try out best to help them, but in your situation a 20 year old product is sometimes a bit of a challenge to support.
Sorry.
I didn’t want to modify, just see the schematics to trace down the issue. Anyways, I fixed it. The board had a soldier joint that was cracked that controlled the 9v output to the motors. The 20 year old product is fixed.
Glad to hear it!
We really don't have access to the schematic anymore, otherwise we would have happily sent it over to you.
Thanks for the update.
