Revo RAVE Noise Question

Just picked up a new Revo Rave and love the action of the lights! I do notice, though, that when power is applied to it, it makes a very noticeable humming noise as if a motor is warming up. Then about 10 seconds later, the lights come on. Is this normal?

More than likely it is going through a self check mode. When power is applied the motors go through a check mode and do full spins and check their sensors. That is probably what you're hearing.

OK, that sounds like what it may be. Another DJ told me he hears the same thing on his Rave, so it must be normal. Whew! By the way....EXCELLENT action on this RGB effect. Hats off the to ADJ design team for this one.
