Hi all, two quick questions about the Revo Rave effect.

1) Is this effect dimmable? The manual's list of features says 'Electronic Dimming 0-100%', however looking at the DMX traits it seems to be on or off - no dimming. Does anyone know the verdict on that?

2) Does the rotation feature just go back and forth in the degree increments listed in the DMX traits or is there a way for the unit to rotate continuously? Is the rotation speed adjustable?

Hey Prolight,
1) that is mislabeled really. That is the dimmer.
2) I am not entirely sure if it is continuous or back and forth. And it looks like there is no speed function for the degree of rotation.
This is still a very awesome light to have though.

Thanks for the reply. So I take it then the dimmer channel dims the entire unit 0-100% from levels 0-255 respectively?

It definitely looks like a cool effect. I'm just asking all the questions I have so I know exactly what I'm getting before I buy a few of these.

Actually I believe it is from values 10-255 is gradual dimmer.
Values 0-9 are off. Like shutter close. Since looking at the video again I am thinking about ordering one for myself.

Okay, sounds good. Yeah, I like the effect quite a bit. I wouldn't be buying any myself for a little while, but I'm just trying to get an idea of what I like the most that fits my needs and budget. Thanks again!
