Hi,

I need some help recording my midi contoller mixes. Right now I'm trying to record my mixes from my vms4 midi controller by connecting the booth output from the controller to my internal computer sound card and recording it with an external recording tool. The problem is the recorded output is distorted. When I connect the contoller to a different computer, which is not connected to the midi controller, I don't have the problem.

Does anybody experience similiar problems and has found a solution?

Is using an external recording device the only way to cope with this problem?

Thanx

If I'm understanding you correctly you're plugging a mini jack in to your mic input. I that's right you need to set the volume of you mic input to a level that stops the distortion, also you'll need to set your gain level, and eq levels on the controller to a point just below the distortion. Once you have these set they will be maximum you can go.
