Rainbow -250

Next question...The sound company that provided light at this venue last year used four par 64's on each side of the stage hanging from the balcony. This was necessary to flood the stage with enough light for a good video. Since the Rainbow 250's are dmx, I can get four (2 per side) in place of the 8 par 64's. I need to know what you think as far as lighting this stage with 4 250's from about 50ft. away.

par 64's usually have 1000 watt bulbs. rainbows have only 250 wt. halogen bulbs. so from 50 ft. away your gonna need alot more watts. i once tried using two mighty's as spots and they were only 30 ft. away and it wasn't enough light. had to rent a spot light from a theatrical company to cover that mistake. fortunAtely my ultras are plenty bright so this won't happen again.
