Our USB to DMX martin Dongle died on us. I really don't want to fork out $1300 for a new one. My question is can you connect a 2510 controller or maybe a 2531 Direct Access Box to the computer running light jockey and then pass through the DMX signal from light jockey to the DMX universe? Or is the only way to program lights with light jockey ( and see how you are affecting the fixtures ) to use the USB dongle?
So basically instead of using the controller boxes to control the lights I would be using them as more of a pass through modem. Is this possible to do?
