I own one of these units personally and the volume indicators in the FX display area are for "Master" out and when the cue button of a channel is selected, you will get an additional volume level preview bar just above those master out lines. All you need.
However, I discovered a bug in this boards design with regards to the DSP chip. While I had American Audio (thanks Toby and the Engineering team) fix this with a new DSP chip which was really easy to drop in, I hope it is something that has been corrected in all of the boards shipping because it essentially renders the FX section useless for those of us who actually mix properly and would use FX on a single channel while mixing it in. The problem was with a slight delay between the processed signal and the actual output through the DSP. Again, this was corrected through a DSP chip upgrade, so maybe American Audio can post an update about this as I feel it made the mixer go from kick ass, to destroyer of all things vestax in one swoop.
Maybe they can make it the QFX19MK-L (L for Lithium
)
Cheers.
