Hello everyone,
I am hoping I can get some advice to a problem I am having. First, here is my setup. I have 8 P64 LEDs, 2 Punch LED pros, 2 Elation design spot 250s all controlled by an Elation DMX operator pro. When I put the PARs into sound active, every light does its own thing. Nothing is sync'd. I got the punch pros to solve this problem and they do not. They do not solve it in the master / slave config in sound active when I disconnect it from the operator pro either. Any ideas?

Thanks for your time.

are you talking about putting the pars on sound active via the dmx values? well when it comes to sound active what u see is what u get. you could try messing with the sensitivity knob. if u want u could make a program or sequence and have that run in sound active mode via the OP thay way they stay in synch and u can still control how they look. my two watts. if u need anything else let me know. peace! and welcome to the forums.
Thanks Jingles,

I have tried both ways. First hooking everything up to the Controller and setting it to sound active with all the lights correctly DMX addressed. I have also tried no controller, using a punch pro as the master and daisy chaining every following light in the slave mode. I had researched this and came to the conclusion the Punch pros would solve the problem with the LED sync feature but it does not.

Thanks again,
Ric
Well it seems that I will actually have to program it to do what I am asking...Which brings me to another question. Is it possible to get any downloads of a program for the operator pro. If so, does anybody know where I could find them? Basically, I am looking for something someone else has already programmed. As you can tell I am a newbie to all of this and just trying to get some helpfull advice.

Again, Thank you for your time.

ahh i see now! see the reason they are not synching is cause the p64 led cans do not have the LED synch feature. you would need to go to the pro ones for that. um there are programs that can be uploaded to the op. BUT someone would have had to have ur exact rig and send u a usb flash drive with all the programs on it. don;t be scared to program think of it as you are in control of these lights and no one else. just sit at the board maybe watch a few concert dvds to help get you some ideas and before long you will be able to create some nice stuff. just practice practice practice!! lol. hope this helps. jingles.
Jingles,

I stumbled on this problem with the P64's and hoped the punch pros would fix it. I have ordered 8 P64 pros to swap out and upgrade. But the punch pros have this same problem in sound active as I had described before (I have been experimenting with just the punch pros and nothing else). They do their own thing and are not sync'd at all. They do sync everything else as advertised and will sync the P64 too, just not in sound active for some reason. I thought that the LED sync feature of the pro models covered every aspect of their operation. Thanks much!!

Jingles,

Thanks for the advice! I have been practicing but need much more on the programming. The PAR's are not too bad. It is the 2 Elation Design Spot 250 that are kickin my butt! I think I bit off more than I can chew with them. I probably should have gone with some type of scans since I do not need the light directed everywhere. The scans seem to limit where the light can be directed and are much lighter compared to these 2 beasts and seem to be less expensive too! Basically less for me to screw up...

Hi Jingles,

I called Tech support and Jason informed me that the Pro series will sync everything BUT S.A.....I wish that was advertised, I would have researched another option. Other than that the PRO series just rocks! Much brighter than the smaller non pro versions.

Thanks again, I am sure I'll be asking many more begginer questions!!

Ric
