A while ago, one of my ADJ 64 LED Pro's blew a fuse. I had no spares, the light stayed dark.

I had another show, and again, same fixture blew a fuse. This time I had fuses, because I ordered like 8 or 10 after the last show I talked about, so I'd never have this problem again.

Had a show in December, again, same fixture popped a fuse, and I could NOT find my baggie of fuses. Fuse blew before the show started. Before, they blew during set. Angry, but stuff happens, what can ya do? Exactly.

Well, I since found the bag of fuses, but then, they've gone lost again. I have also since bought more LED lights or otherwise acquired more LED lights(all ADJ), and all use the same fuse. I ordered 20 fuses. Thanks Parts! You got my fuses here fast, you guys rock!

My concern is "is this going to happen again?" Well, my remaining fuses are currently at an unknown location within my stuff, so they are as good as gone for a while. Fuses CAN blow, and even though I just got all my repaired 64 LED Pros back from Service(you guys are great too!), INCLUDING the one that was blowing fuses(it also developed 6 bad LED's, so off it went to repair and now it's back), the bottom line is anything can fail at any time.

Having to do a recent round of computer upgrades(I'm NOT liking Windows 7 outside of it can access my new Intel Core 2 Quad CPU and 8 Gigs of RAM with Win7 64-bit), the store also carried small plastic compartmented cases. For a couple of bucks, I have something to put my fuses in. I'll later use tape to label what goes where when I order more fuses for other fixtures.

A plastic case takes up a bit more space and the fuses rattle around a bit inside. Harder to lose. Not quite small enough to fit into a pocket unless you have cargo pants/shorts, but conveniently small to perhaps put in a pocket on your Arriba cases.

The other fuses will show up in due time and be added to the collection.

Don't take chances. Fuses are cheap and are cheap insurance. Learn from my disasters, you don't want to learn from your own disasters like this.

While I'm at it, I might buy a better case next time and put in there common repair items: XLR, 1/4" TRS, fuses, rack screws, lighting bolts, those hex screws that are in the trusses. One-stop shopping for problems. Maybe stuff a skate-tool in there, it has a phillips, and a hex that fits those lighting hex bolts and it's nice and compact.

ALSO: For those of you getting those new cool lights with IEC power cable pass-thru, I have news for you:

I got some Mega Bar 50's and I'm cracking those open this weekend to configure and test with. These have the IEC pass-thru power. I got 3 6-foot cables for like $3 each. Another option is a shorty cable that goes IEC pass-thrue to Edison Female so you can use a regular cable on it. Those adaptor cables are also like around $3. So, getting this isn't terribly difficult for the most part. I'd have bought more but I was up to my budget limit on computer parts.

Rock on and don't get caught without fuses! It's one thing to have a short fuses, it's another thing to have a blown fuse! Cheap insurance!
