if it's a junior prom consider an H2O. great slow effect for them slow songs

Ever thought about the ever so popular mirror ball with a couple of Rainbow 250's on it? How about an X-Ray II... That's a good effect... Also another good effect light is the Razz Matazz.... I loved mine...

Have you considered any package systems, such as the Luna 4, Saturn 4, Fab 4, or Color Flash 4? A Millenium could be used for the super fast/club songs, so that your Vertigo is available for color in your regular show. They would look somewat the same on the outside, so you're guests will think nothing of it. Until you turn it on of course. Another option is to buy a haze machine. They're a pretty penny ($400-^), but it will MAXIMIZE your current setup. You could also try a Mace 2. If you're in a low for cash, simply rent some stuff and buy more lighting when you're sitting more comfortably on your pocketbook. All 4 now, good luck!

gobo flash is the best for 349.95 street . It blows any crowd away. You should rent it if you dont have the money to buy it. An 8 mirror ball with pinspots that have motorized color wheels and a 3 RPM motor would be good for slow dances.

When I do big shows like concerts and events that in large rooms...my clients really like the moving yoke fixtures like what Elation makes. Not only do they cover a very large area but they are especially "cool" to someone who had never gotten use them before as well as seen them. Now these fixtures are like $4000+ a piece so of course I rent. I have this rental place...actually several of them where I get all of my big heavy duty stuff from. Once I had a party where the theme was a nightclub...so I rented to huge dry ice machines (the ones used in like major theatres) and before the dance opened I turned on the dry ice and covered the entire floor with "moving clouds" i had an H20 and it looked like there were moving colored clouds on the floor...it was so cool...as well as havin my moving effects going crazy! It was awesome!

Wow! 4000+ eh? I hate to see who you're going thru... I can get moving yolks starting about 800+ I don't know who is paying 4000+ but that's a pretty lucrative company that you're buying from!

Depending on what Brand and model the effect is...they can get very expensive. For instance M*rtin Mac 250 is anywhere from about $1200-1700. Where as a H*ighend Studio Spot/CStudio Color is about $4000. It all depends on what you get. What kinda of efects are only $800 that you are able to get?

That;s incorrect sorry...I have seen the anywhere frrom about $1700-$2300. Whatls interesting though is Elation;s pricees are very "low" considering some of the effects they have and the quality! You never know!
