I have a dedicated dmx universe in a retail showroom that controls standard light fixtures through 2 dimmer packs. The lights are programmed to fade up and down all day while the showroom is in use. The showroom is only used a few weeks each year and the lights are off the rest of the time. There is only one computer in the showroom and all of the traveling sales people try to use the computer to check email and surf the net. They also try to play with the lighting controls. Which brings me to my main question - what is the best way to lock them out of myDMX?
We have tried user accounts on the computer but we can not get myDMX to keep running the programmed sequence when a second user is logged into the computer. Is there a way to put a password on myDMX for control? Is a dedicated computer the only answer at this time?
