Steve I'm still making your profiles. Will get them to you ASAP.
Welcome to the forums Wired.
Sincerely,
any news yet mate on my profiles please
OK here is what I have made so far. I was trying to make all of them but when i went to make the multiplex and Heptagon fixtures my profile creator crashed. I will try again in a little bit to make those but right now I'm tired of it crashing on me. Smiler

Will make the Qtx profiles very soon.
sorry for the delay.

Hi All,

The profiles that you all are requesting are merely copies from the user manuals for the various fixtures, and are actually very simple to create in the scan library editor.

Each of the profiles will be different according to the number of DMX channels, and what each channel does, but you can create these very easily by just adding the channels, one by one, and splitting down each channel into the different values, as per the manual.

What is difficult however, is creating a 3D visualisation for these various fixtures, but for most fixtures it is not impossible.

The American DJ Nucleus for example, consists of six pan and tilt motors with lamps etc., which cannot be realised by the scan editor in normal use, but there is nothing to stop you creating six individual scanners and assigning them to the same DMX channels to give you full 3D visualiser capabilities.

I have done it, and it works just great.

There are some anomolies with the rotation function in MyDMX, so I had to turn the stage on it's back, and view it from above, in order to get what I needed.

This is just buggy software, but the logic is still there, it just needs the odd work-around.

It is best if you create the profile with the fixture in front of you, as manuals are not always accurate. (The Nucleus colours were completely wrong).

I have also succesfully created profiles with full 3D visualisation for the Equinox Domin8r and Scantastic4, so I now can design scenes that use these fixtures directly from my laptop.

I cannot at this stage find any way to sensibly create a 3D visualisation of the Dualizer, or the Revo 4.

It is a real pity that MyDMX does not have any beat detection features, as this is an absolute "must-have" in my opinion.
Hi there, I'm afraid I'm a newbie to the mydmx world so firstly can I ask if the is a place or site that lists all of the new available fixtures that aren't listed in the ScanLibrary or do we have to annoy you tech guys everytime we buy a new unlisted light?

Secondly, if the latter is the case, could I have a profile for;
Equinox Vixen laser http://prolight.co.uk/DJ/item.php?id=509260
Acme Cougar Pack http://prolight.co.uk/DJ/item.php?id=509056

My thanks for your help
Mark

(PS, I am using the older myDMX not the new 2.0)
