Forgive me for thinking that some questions on here are a little pointless.
People on here haven't seemed to grasp the fact that all you need to do to get any fixture working is just simply plug the unit in regardless of how many channels it has and see what each channel does
All companies do is provide a easy chart usually of numbers and channels. All this relates to is what the channels does. All you have to do is move the sliders up or down to see what it does! If you move slider 1 that might move the mirror or the head...then the next slider.....etc. Simples.
In the case of scanners and moving heads the first two channels operate the moving of the mirrors or head.
Third is usually colour
Forth is usually gobos
The rest of the channels usually operate the shutter (strobe), dimmer or auto head movement.
So before you get in a pickle just use your judgment and have a fiddle.
