My next question is why am I seeing tabs in MyDmx manual that I am not seeing in the software? For instance the RGB matrix effects tab? Since I have a motion drape I would sure like this option.

The reason why you don't see matrix is you probably didn't patch in any RGB fixtures as a matrix. In the set up tab there is the dmx universe and first DMX channel then number of fixtures and then matrix. you would have to patch fixtures as a matrix.
BUT even though you have the motion drape that is only a 8 channel function controller for the curtain. You would need pixel control of the entire drape to use that as a matrix. Which I believe chauvet does not have as an option.
