Works fine for me. Try it again. It is a .m4V file type. so you may need to have use quicktime to view it or update win media player.

O.K. I got it working , but the problem I have is not in building a single fixture as such but a T-bar type set up with four LED pars in a row all working from the one mode but doing different things . I know the profile works fine but in the 3D vue page I only see one Image and it only displays what the first of my four pars are doing . Any ideas as to how I can solve this .

Ya. you will actually have to use a different profile but just in the 3D. what you can do is tell the 3D to not use the profiles from the program and then patch in your own profiles and the 3D will use the profiles that you told it too when using light beam output from the program. Make sense? It really Sounds more complicated than it is. But I do not have time right now to type it all up. Might have to do a screen share session with you one on one sometime. Where are you located?

O.K. I understand ...I think , I have time to mess around with so I'll give a go . One thing though ...how do I tell the 3D not to use the profiles that I program .

Did you figure it out? In the 3D window the small mover icon which is the "Add Fixtures" button. Right? It's all in the add fixtures part. Let me know how you did.

I managed to sort out how to have a 3D image of four light controlled from one program by duplicating them in the 3D fixture section . However they all do the same thing i.e. if I choose the colour green in the profile section , all four go green . I would like to be able to split them all . I will mess around some more to see if I can get it . I know they do work when looking at my lights but I would like the 3D page to create what I see in front of me . It's all part of the fun , I'll mess around some more then get back to you . Thanks again , Vinny .

Hi There , I have managed to work out how to duplicate some of my fixtures to build a 3D view of what I will see in front of me . It has worked o.k. with some of the fixtures but now just locks up and freezes whenever I try to duplicate . I found that doing it in the Layers section works but even that now keeps freezing ...any suggestions ?

....Another problem I am getting now is that when I save then shut down a 3D Stage set up with duplicated lights and all intact , when I reopen it , all the duplicated fixtures are gone ....again , any suggestions ?

Could be a bug. What release date of my dmx are you using?

" release date " ? I have no idea but I can tell you I bought it brand new about three weeks ago . I have been looking forward to using this but so far have had to hold off from doing so until I can get the little problems I have sorted out . Any advice on any of my previous questions would be much appreciated .

Like when the program opens up and the my dmx logo window appears and then goes away. That will tell you the release date of that software update. for example:

now as far as duplicating goes all you really need to do is right click the item you want duplicated in the 3D construction mode and select duplicate. If you are experiencing 3D freezes or crashes you might want to check and see how much dedicated Graphic memory you have available on that computer. Does that help?

Hi James , I don't think the 3D thing is all that important right now so don't worry if its causing you stress . I do however have another little problem that I cant seem to get over . I am trying to set up a Korg Nanokey to use as a midi controller but when I right click on a scene to "learn midi" and store it ...nothing happens ...any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong ? Are you plugging in the nano before or after you launch my dmx?

Hi James , I have tried it both ways but with no success ...is there a correct way i.e. plug in before or after . I wasn't having a pop at you James regarding the 3D problem , I genuinely did not get a reply through from you , maybe something as gone wrong there ? Whilst the 3D thing would be nice it isn't that important .

Sorry to hear that James , I'm trying to use a Korg nanokey2 as a midi controller to switch between scenes but nothing happens . I tried plugging it in before and after opening open MyDMX but still nothing . I know my computer recolonises it but MyDMX doesn't ....any ideas ?

is the nanokey2 set to factory defaults?

I'm not sure , how do I tell if it is . I have checked the manual but it says nothing about how to reset it ....

You will probably have to look it up on the korg website.
