problem with dj scan 250hp

check your dip settings,,all of my hp's work fine but each one had dip #10 turned on,
Make sure switch 10 is off.

I can't tell you (or stress) how important a DMX Terminator is...

so true! i have a adj performance scan 250 and a p36 led. i was using the scanner one nite before i was using the terminator and the shutter would go haywire. i would be going through my chases and the shutter would get stuck and only let a little lite through. but once i put the terminator in no more problems at ALL! definetly use a terminator! peace! jingles!

went to radio shack and got a 100 ohm resistor and made myself a terminator. It seems to stop my first djscan250 from going crazy but my hp will still not work(and my other djscan 250 which is last in the chain still goes crazy). Even if i just plug-in my hp and the terminator it will not work.

i feel like an idiot. I was putting the dip switches the wrong way on the hp. Setting them to off instead of on. Sorry about that.

By the way, I believe that the terminator uses a 110ohm 1/4 or 1/2 watt resistor, not the 100.

actually i think ur both wrong the terminator uses 120 ohm 1/4 watt resistor! im about 99% sure about this. peace jingles out!

Any 1/4 watt 90-120 ohm resistor works as a terminator. If the resistor has a gold band in the series of colors (the last one) it is +/- 5% tolerance. A silver band is +/- 10%.

WOW! didn't mean to start a TERMINATOR war here. just the only kind of terminator i have heard of is the 120 ohm 1/4 watt resistor one! now i know differently! thanks everybody! yall r some good teachers! peace out jingles!
