Can anyone tell me why when I use VDJ of which I'm not a big fan the VMS4 lights up like a christmas tree, (very pretty) but in Traktor 90% of the lights dont come on?

its because the traktor mappings are not mapped like vdj6le or pro. theres some mappings that work the lights but not as good as vdj does

yes, in traktor all lights have to be mapped to the buttons one-by-one. generally, all buttons that can light up will light up when mapped.
