Dont get me wrong here, I love My Dmx because its so easy to use, and I enjoy making the profiles for the different lights I have, but I shouldnt have to make a profile for everything. Lately, all the pre made profiles I have been using like the Par 64 pro, and the x-move led, are not configured correctly. When I used the x-move, the gobos and colors were off, etc. For example, the slider address for the color green according to the booklet was 45-59 on channel 3. The preset profile had a different color. So when I right click on the channel so that I can click on a specific color in the my dmx scene setter, so that the slider goes diretly to the dmx trait I want it to, I would click on the green color, but the light would be orange or something. I had to go through and re-designate all the colors and gobo pics to the correct postionings according to the manual. Dont get me wrong, It was kind of fun because I felt like a light programmer or something, but its just frustrating to me how new profiles are coming out, but they are not correct according to the manuals. The profiles I have are no good if I cant use them correctly. I even went through and programed the par cans to be exactly like the manuals. Took a while, but now I have everything exactly as it works. I am posting this in hopes that the people who make the profiles, (especially adj ones) will follow their own dmx traits in their manuals. Its worth the extra time to get all traits per channel to me, even if one channel has 40 different postions on the slider where it does different things. Please let me know if I am missing something or if my software is just doing weird things, because im under the impression that the profiles were just not made right.
This is the most user friendly software I have ever used though. Great job adj!!
