Actually I have a set of both. There are some places I run two floors at a time so upstairs I run passive speakers (less cordage and lighter to carry) downstairs I run active with a 3 peice setup (sub has the amp) and the active set has a "through" port so I can hookup multiple systems. If the money is available I would say to get a set of each. If you need more punch you can allways "add" a component to each of the setups I run or "remove" something uneeded. If money is an issue go passive. That way you can build the nastiest system for the lowest bux!quote:Originally posted by dj-amproductions:
[qb] YEah Ive got powered speakers, I love em and I hate em. I dunno. Sometimes Im so happy that I got em and other times Im sad I did. Its a hard decision. You shuld try workin with both once or twice each and see which ones you prefer.
