Hi everyone.

I recently purchased a vms4.1 and have spent all my free time since trying to get this popping sound to go away. It starts the second plug the controller in, before VDJ or Traktor are even open. It also seems to happen less frequently as time goes on, but never completely stops.

The obvious answer would be a latency issue, but I've done just about everything imaginable and nothing has fixed it. Setting the asio buffer to the highest setting, and it did not change a thing. I rand latencymon, disabled all hardware that is not essential for DJing, put a fresh install of windows on my laptop, installed all the windows updates, updated all my drivers, installed a USB filter driver I found somewhere on the internet, and probably a few other things I can't remember off the top of my head all to no avail.

I'll be updating my bios on my laptop tomorrow, but hopefully in the meantime you guys might have a few other ideas as to what it could be.

I have an asus k50IN, 2.1 GHz dual-core, 2 gigs of RAM running Windows 7 64-bit.

Another bit of info, I used to have a Numark Mixtrack Pro and never had a single problem with it. But the VMS4.1 works fine on my desktop.

Any insight on this would be very appreciated. I'd rather not have to buy a new laptop after dropping 500 on a new controller.
