Pocket Scans & DMX Operator

Hi there!

In the near future I plan to buy a DMX Operator & 2 Pocket Scans from Lightsounds in Sydney. I'd like to know exactly how these two products work with eachother. What controls (fader etc) do what to the lights?

I am fairly new to DMX and the like. Do you think that the DMX Operator would be a good purchase for a newbie like myself, or should I go with something more simple?

1.pan
2.tilt
3.color
4.gobo
5.shutter
6.speed
7.laser
