I'm looking into maybe buying a half dozen Pocket Scans for a small club.

A couple years ago, I bought 4, and two of them were unusable right out of the box (as I recall, one of them had a bad board, the other a bad socket).

Have they improved at all? After a couple years, are they holding up?

If they're not proving reliable, do you have any suggestions for alternatives?

Thanks

Misty

First of all what kind of budget are we looking at, what size is your room that you want to use intels in. What are you looking for in the fixtures, what will they be used for mainly, performances? dancing? etc

I am a owner of pocket scans and they are part of my second setup and are amazing little things lol. I havent occured any problems with mine either then the bulb dieing 2 hours after I was using them the first time. I love everything about these things. of course I am sur there are flaws in everything but for what you are using the for they will suprise you I think.

Misty, I have about 12 of them and when I first got them there were a few flaws (not quite as bad as what you had) but as with everything that gets sent via oops (UPS) or even fed axe. Getting bounced around isn't really healthy for electronics and the weak points get weaker until bust. Mad As far as the reliability of the Pocket Scans I use them everyday and they go mobile with me. I've been using them for about a year now and they had served me extremely well! Big Grin Sorry bout the long post, I hope it answers your questions...
