Why do some of the Pocket Scan's have volume pots on the back and sone don't? I would prefer without, like an automatic sound level. I assume the ones without the pot are automatic input level. Are the newer ones without this manual adjustment or??? I would appreciate clarification before I buy. Thanks! Cool

I believe the new ones have a sound control knob, thats to adjust the sound sensitivity. The older ones i believe dont have one. I bought mine less than a year ago and it has them. Its good to have if you are running there own built in programs, other than that if your using a controller it bypasses it. If i am wrong someone please correct me. Support? Once again i am still 250 miles away from my pocket scans.

All the newer one do have sensitivity knobs, the old ones had antennas that would latter on to by used for wireless linking but it never went through. If it doesn't have a sensitivity knob it just picks up sound a one constant level. I used to have one with the antenna and let me tell you the sensistivity knob helps a lot because you can decide what it hears. Smiler Smiler

ok now, i am looking at an old pro sound mag from about 2 years ago, it shows the pocket scan with a remot control!!!, it has like different bottons for each gobo, it looks like a TV remote? Does anyone know what im talking about, did that ever go through??? Or was that imagination from american dj that never followed through. There was only one issue of pro sound mag that had that image, all the ohter mags have standered images of the pocket scan
ADJ needs to make a universal DMX Remote, and an antenna for some of their DMX lights. Mainly scanners. Like, an antenna that plugs into the DMX IN of the light, while the remote has a button for gobowheel turn left, and one to turn right, same thing for the color wheel. also, a blackout button, strobe (3 speed button) and laser (pocketscan and concept). That would be the neatest thing!!! Maybe a big square pad for 'followspot' type of movement, or you could move the light where you wanted it to go. That would be killer! Now people will say "go buy a DMX controller if you want that" so no need to say it. Frowner
