Don't get me wrong here, i love my pocket scans, i really don't have anything bad to say about them. while doing a gig recently, i was using my pocket scans with lasers and since my DJ was DJing i got to oversee everything, I know the mirror constantly moves the laser around but what if it hits someones eyes while dancing? I know its only a split second but still??? any opinoins on this>?

I know never to shoot the beam of my laser at the crowd, but common the scanners light itself has to hit the crowd, what good is it going to do if i shine the beams over them. The lasers are sometimes audio controlled by my DMX pocket solo. So while people are dancing the lights are moving and the controller would turn on the laser sometimes. And with fog its a cool effect.
Staring for long periods into a 5mw laser (or any laser for that matter) CAN and will cause eye damage!!

If you get struck in the eye for less than a second, which is usually the case with most low powered lasers, there souldn't be a problem otherwise the Pocket Scan and similar lights would be banned!

I'd be more worried about those powerful blue/green argon 10mw+ lasers, now they can cause serious damage if not used correctly.

ROQ out.
