I have 2 pocketscans and control my system with a DMX-512 Controller. I seem to be having a problem with the laser's flashing intermittently. They do it even if I plug them directly into the controller without.
the laser will flash if you adjust Channel 7 from 0 to 80%. If left at that position it will continue to flash even with no DMX signal. Try moving slider 7 all the way off or to 90% (value 240) to keep it on.
thanks but I have tried that. They seem to start out ok but as I run thru programs it starts to do it. I am wondering now if I should dump all the programs on my controller and start over. Maybe one of them has fader 7 slid up in it's program. I'll give that a try.
Darkwood, Remeber the programed scenes in the controller. If they ar recorded with a setting of chanel 7 at 80% the lasers will flash. Take control of the scanners you have setup for this and set chanel 7 to 90% then they should be ok. Or reprogram the scenes that have the flashing lasers. Also you can reprogram those scenes using channel 7 only and they will be solid.
DJ Rage, last night, at our show, We deleted all scenes and all chases from our controller and started over but the scanners still have the intermittent laser flash. When you take control of the individual pocket scan, you can make the laser stay on but you can't make it stay off. At 0 or 100% it still flashes intermittently. Seems to be doing it on only one scanner now. I'm thinking that there is something wrong in the scanner.
just an added note: This is to the makers of our controller (DMX-512). Thanks for putting the programing instructions on the bottom of the controller. This is a great help when trouble shooting.
