Pocket Pro - damaged

Hi - today I received a “new” Pocket Pro moving head from a major European dealer (recordcase.de). The box/tape had been opened and then re-sealed with fresh tape. The unit made a rattling noise and when I removed the arm casing on the motor/cog side to investigate, 5 small pieces of broken plastic were removed (no obvious sign of where they broke from), and finally - when I turned the unit on, the fixture time read 9 hours straight out the box. It looks to me like this unit has been returned previously by another customer, possibly damaged, and then resold as new (although I find this surprising as recordcase are usually a reliable and reputable distributor). Is there any chance the box was opened to add the EU cable, the loose plastic from the factory and perhaps 9hrs use time due to some factory testing? Trying to give the store the benefit of the doubt here - unit does appear to be working fine although I await delivery of the DMX controller when it will really be properly tested. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks
