Any suggestions on where to buy par-cans, besides the obvious, American dj? I have looked online at several brands and have debated on what brand to buy. I am not sure I want to buy a huge price. I am also sure that i don't want a weak can that will bend in two before i get to really use it. Thanks in advance for the help and suggestions.

The first cans I bought was a set of 8 ALtman 56's. Toughest can ever. You can get 8 for the price of 16 AMDJ's. They are made of steel, really heavy, and has the capability of rusting. The black finish on the altmans is way more scratch resistant than the AMDJ's/

Another choice (and is way more expensive) would be a source 4 par (or American DJ "Optipar"). They are small and can handle lots of abuse.

I also own 32 AMDJ Par 64's. Yeah they will get banged up but dollar for dollar its the best value.
Hey, Thanks for the suggestions! I am not totally certain where I am going to buy my first official bigger Par Can. I am looking to get a Par-56 but I am not certain where I will go to do this. Once I test a brand out and come to find out I like it, I may just stick with it. But if I try it out and I don't like it, then ill have to change and decide on another place to order the lights from. Or if anyone on the forum is going to sell any soon, let me know, I may be interested!
Thanks for the link shynee but I already found somewhere now that has cans for $24 each, good deal if you ask me! I think this will be where I am going to start buying my cans from, from now on! plus i would also like 300 watt bulbs, not 600watt which comes with the cans from pro sound and stage lighting. Ive been there before and I personally thought some of there prices were quite steep, maybe it's just me,but i don't know.
hmm.. That may be something ill have to check out. But im still not very interesting in 600 watt pars this limits several things for me if I do this. Im looking at 300 watt and maybe a couple 500 watt pars at the max. I would like Par-56's and the cheapest i have found is $24 a can plus $12 bulbs and last around 1000 hours. Ill try to check out Pssl again and see but i doubt that's where ill be making purchases.
That is a very great idea. but the way it's looking im going to get some Leprecon Dimmer packs (6 channel probably) and have 2 cans on one channel and I think these packs can only handle like 2400 watts or maybe it's 3600 with the High Powered ones, But if i took 600 times 12 Id be way over my head for the number of watts. maybe I could get a few 600 watt bulbs for say 2-3 cans as spot light type cans for spot lighting a speaker situation, but other then this I really couldn't think of any other time yet that i would need 600 watts(which is a lot of power). Thanks for the suggestion you had, any other suggestions besides this that you may have>?
