onyx II

Hi

I'm thinking of trying to find different blubs for the 3 onyx II, and adding a dmx controller, since thier internal program and/or beat sensor does not respond well. They seem to black out and stay static after they have been on for more than 4 to 5 minutes. When they are on they wipe out my pocket scans, but look great

I have the DMX Solo it does a great job on my pocket scans, the master plan is to download the Solo's programs into a new DMX controller and add the Onxy II programs to some of them.

The other problem I have have is too much wattage:

2 pocket scans (soon to be 4 pocket scans or 4 mighty scans) 200
8 100 watt floods 800
3 250 watt onyx II 750
2 50 watt gems 100
2 300 watt diamonds (same as jewel) 600
4 60 watt strobes (pro 101) 250
1 750 watt neutron star strobe 750
1 set of blinders (4*350) very bright not counted

Thats roughly 3500 watts watts = V*I

3450/120 28.75 Amps not good on a 20A breaker
3450/112 31.xx amps

I would definitely recommend either some type of switching pack, like the SC8 system or a DMX controller and some DMX switching packs. That way you wont have all the lights on at once, and wont run into that amperage problem.
