Quick answer Yes, you can put 4ohm speakers in as replacememnts. Complex answer.....
What kind of speakers are they? What kind of crossover is in them? Are they Full Range? Will there be more than one pair driven from a single amp? These questions need to be asked and answered to get a proper determination of the actual load each speaker will be. And what the load will be on your amp. Then you need to determine if the amp can handle the new lower (resistance) load.
the speakers i got bacicly for the box and i got them cheap and there ultra linears but i ripped out the horns and installed 400watt horns in each box,and now im replacein the subs, i dont Know what kind of cross over is in them, there 3 way with a horn,mid,and a sub,
i drive 2 on each channel and my peavey amp cant peak them but i rent an amp for the bigger dances to get the full power out of them im lookin at gettin a new amp soon whitch do you recomend for me american audio v4000?
