OK, recently, I sent in a light for service. Earlier this year, that same light had gone in for service. I applaud ADJ for using a cost-effective method of shipping my item back to me each time using FedEx Ground service, as opposed to an overnight service. Unfortunately, warranty work is a cost of doing business and as such, it can be accounted for.

I won't even talk about other people who have had recent repairs and got like FedEx Priority Red Overnight shipping. Those decisions are between ADJ and the client. It's not my place to get involved in those sorts of things.

Now, let's look at a few other things:
On April 9th, the same day I sent a part to not only ADJ for service, but also had a competitor's product that went to the competitor for repair. On that same day, I placed an order with the competitor for parts to repair some follow spots. I called on May 13th to discover the items had NOT been shipped, but they did charge me on April 12th for the order with shipping(postal). A mutual "WTF" came from both sides of the call. Now, I was also told I'd get a callback when the items DO ship. Didn't happen. I call today on the 14th to find now they've been sent by what appears to be a 3-day FedEx service to get it cross-country fast and on time for my event.

Why is this? Granted, ADJ isn't doing this, so why am I posting it here? Because I can.

Why should something have to ship like that? Waste of money. Why not take care of things properly?

Sorry, I'm old school. You do it right the first time. At least they are making it right.

On contrast, with ADJ service and parts, honestly, I send it and forget about it. If I place an order, it arrives on time. If I get something RA's for epair, it comes back fixed fairly fast. Seems ADJ has the concept down of taking care of things properly the first time.

Again, ADJ may be catering to a budget-conscious consumer and entertainment marketplace, but they haven't forgotten how to take care of their customers. And yes, still can, will and does slip through cracks, but ADJ seems to be on top of those sort of issues as well.

these guys are great... and it helps that they are bout 70 mi. away from me.

noted that i live about an hr. away from where they ship and receive. I placed an order for a scanner that was broken about a week ago minutes before 5pm. I guess that i had just missed the pick uptime because i recieved it 2 days later via ups. when i recieved it, i noticed they had wrapped it in about 5 yrds of bubbles (it seemed like it) and stuffed into a tiny box. my motor was a bit different from the original one, but worked just fine.
