I am new to the light game and I bought a new Chauvet Obey 70 because it was cheap. The more lights we added the more I began having issues. I have a Chauvet LED strip on fixture 1, a Chauvet Obeast on fixture 2 (they work fine even though I can't address the Obeast on DMX 33 correctly. The only way it works is on DMX 5 right after the LED strip.), a Chauvet DMX 4 dimmer pack on fixture 3, and a Chauvet Insignia 2.0 on fixture 4. I'm having a flicker issue with the dimmmer pack and Insignia. It began with 3 flickers every 10 seconds simultaneously. Now it's 5 flikers every 10 seconds simultaneously. I have a show on May 22 and need help. Thanks in advance

Hello Nate, Welcome to the forums. I'd be willing to bet if you took the chauvet color strip out of the DMX line your issues would clear up. Also tell me are you using Actual DMX cable and not mic cable? How long is your DMX cable run? The chauvet color strips are known to not work right and also cause DMX line issues. It is the DMX refresh rate that chauvet decided to use when they made the fixture. It's different than the Standard DMX refresh rate that is on all fixtures. Test this and let me know.
Sincerely,
Because he wants a real answer, so he came to a REAL forum.

Is that a good enough answer?

Also, for the orignal poster?
It's not that this is the AJ forum that we tend to be biased in favor of ADJ lights, but in my experience, while Chauvet makes some good stuff, I've not been pleased with them in general. The Color strip has been mentioned many times as having problems. I'm not expecting you to dig for this information, but it's been shown many times on this forum.

Also, since this is an intel issue and not MyDMX, I am moving this thread.

(I have to prove to Jingles I can do this!)
