Not sure whether I need a Mega Bar or Mega Bar 50

the mega bar 50 should do the trick, just depends on how bright you want it to look if you want it really be bright then i would say use the Mega Bar

Thanks Jeffrey. I don't need it to be silly bright, it will be positioned facing the dancefloor with nothing but thin lycra stopping it but I do want to make sure it gives a nice full wash on the table.

I'll probably get a full sized mega bar when I decide to upgrade the lighting for my backdrop.

I've also wondered about how well a full sized Mega Bar would work at lighting the dance floor if it was mounted across the top of my T bar.

Do you think I could do that instead of using par cans or would it be too bright for people? I watched a Youtube video where a guy mounted 2 Mega Bars on his speaker stands and after it he said it was a bit too bright for people.

It it's too big or overkill for uplighting the booth I can use it to do my backdrop or try it on the T bar.

Should get it on Tuesday so I'll have plenty of time to play with it before my next gig on the 8th of December.

it is all in your perspective.... some people might thing they arent bright enough... but they can be used in many different ways... Enjoy...let me know how you like them

I don't think I'll be able to use it to light the dancefloor because it's quite blinding if you look straight at it but it looks great uplighting my booth.

I love the fact I can set it to fade through 2 colours. It'll look great matching wedding colour schemes.

It looks AMAZING underneath my table scrim.

The S2L on it is incredible too. I had Example and Calvin Harris on and at the end of the break where the drums go from 4 to 16 to 32 beats the Megabar followed it in perfect sync. Looked brilliant.

I've got some rubbish close up video on my phone that doesn't do it justice and I managed to wipe the camera SD card with all of the gig photos (and 700 odd holiday snaps my girlfriend had taken!!!) so if I can't recover them, I'll take more at my next gig.

It really is an amazing piece of kit.
