No life in demo mode

Hi there I am using the my dmx controller or trying to !
when software is running in demo mode nothng happens, when moving the sliders i understand that I should be able to create a scene and vew it in 3d mode, however when im moving the sliders nothing is happening at all and even when dongle is plugged in nothing! boots in usb mode but thats it , has anyone else had this and if so how do i fix it
