Newbie with Question

I am a newbie to this forum so if my question has already been asked a hundred times I apologize; please just point me to the previous posts and I'll be thankful.

I play in an acoustic trio and we are looking for some basic lighting that we can run ourselves(that means me).I also run the sound. I was looking at the American DJ Supply Jelly Par Profile System :

because its relatively inexpensive ,looks easy to set up and looks like it will give basic lighting. I don't know if it will give me enough control over the lights, so I may also have to buy an inexpensive controller in the future. Mt question is: is this a good basic system for just getting some color wash for the trio? Is it easy enough to use? Thank you.

Now I'm really confused: could some one tell me the difference between the Jelly Par Profile System and the Mega Par Profile System? Thank you.

the jelly has a clear light case which illuminates the light fixture. That's it.
