Hey Guys,

I am new to MyDMX. I have a question.

Normally when we were using a light board well doing live shows we would program groups of lights in to scenes. Then we would make steps for those lights in each scene. But with the light board we could turn on multiple scenes. That way we could pick and choice what groups of lights we wanted on and what scene those lights were stepping threw.

I have noticed so far that you cant play multiple scenes at the same time. Is there a way and I am not seeing it? If not, if you used a mini controller could you activate more then one scene at a time?

Thanks guys!

Yup, one scene at a time with MyDMX(holding multiple keys will result in "LAST TAKES PRIORITY).

Just make multiple scenes for all your combinations. Make scenes with multiple steps. Chances are what you need to do can probably be done.

Also keep in mind that a scene can contain a ton of steps. Over 10,000 steps.(Don't ask how or why I know this), so there are tons of possibilities.
I agree with Chris...MyDMX gives you so many possibilities. You just have to play with it for a while to get use to it and don't be afraid to experiment with ideas and especially the FX generator (just save it as another show and go wild, if you screw it up, you still have your original scenes to go back to). I have been playing with it for a little over a year now and I am still discovering new tricks to add to my scenes. You can really do some killer things with it and it does not take alot of time to program. Good luck and stick with it.
