New to DMX

Hi all, I know this isn't a new question, but a couple of things.. I am having trouble finding lights in the library.. oddly, they are ADJ light and I am using MyDmx, but they aren't in the library. Is there an easy way to find a similar light in the library? Also, of the lights I think are programmed correctly, they don't work once I post them to my universe grid.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

look up the mydmx product at www.americandj.com . There is a link to the profile library which is on a dropbox account. That is where I go to grab any new or updated profiles. If it's not listed, post a profile request on the Mydmx profile board.

If your lights dont work once in your universe, triple check your wiring and make sure your MyDMX is booted up in normal mode, not "DEMO" mode. The drivers for your MyDMX unit may not have been loaded properly and if the software doesnt read the dongle it wont send the signal out. Look in the bottom left hand corner for what mode your in and also look for the red words "DEMO" on the initial boot screen of MyDMX.
