I recently installed myDMX 1.0 on an HP g6 laptop w/Windows 8 & utilized the newly available drivers for this OS. Everything was working fine in Demo mode. I connected some of the lights to make scene adjustments & noticed slides 1-29 were set to zero. After researching further it appears that all of the settings were moved over as an entire set. So now my original 1 is now 30, 2 is 31, etc. It has now saved this way & I fortunately have a backup copy. So... could it be the program, drivers, Windows 8 or doubtedly my new laptop? I'm freaking out because I bought this laptop primarily for this program & have a show in just over a week...

Will do. To clarify- my fixtures are like 1-80. All is fine, I will scroll my view rt to lt numerous times when suddenly I notice the whole template shifted over. So 1-29 dimmers are all on zero. The 1 dimmer is now on 30 making all if my dimmer settings 30-110. Other times I have notice 1 or 2 dimmers in a different position after scrolling rt-lt a few times. Oh, & in case I didn't mention when I go to any other programmed entry I've made they all have done the same thing & yet hadn't even gone to those yet...

One other detail. The setup was all originally made on an older laptop having XP & mydmx 1.0. I made a copy of the settings file& now using it on an HP g6 quad core with Windows 8 laptop utilizing the new driver set from you guys. Has been working perfect in the other computer. Difference here is: newer/fast computer, Windows 8 & different set of drivers for the OS.
I have 50+ songs with between 10 & 18 steps per song. When this occurs the 3D Visualizer shows a dark stage pertaining to the lights reset to zero. The only way I can fix right then is to recopy the original file. When I reopen that file all is good again till the dimmer settings act up again. I'm just not sure why it's acting this way when I had no problem before.

Resetting all of my fixtures to the new setting is crazy talk especially when I have no idea when or if the board is going to reset again. I have a string feeling it's not my computer but I haven't seen any posts similar to my situation. Everything else works fine on this laptop, just this quirk in this program. Any other ideas?
Thought about it... Returned the new Windows 8 laptop & got a slightly used Dell with Intel i5 & Windows 7 (cost a bit more).

Bugger :-/ Seems to still do it but not nearly as bad. I really don't feel like rewriting 10-18 steps on 50+ scenes but may have to. I'll write a new little one & see if I can get it to act. Appears to do it more frequently if I scroll right to left rapidly. When it did this on the latest laptop I scrolled back and forth slowly & it reset. The other computer would just keep changing. We will see & I will update. Thanks for the idea!
At this point that may seem to be the most probable cause. I initially got the basic scene setup from someone by getting the whole program. Still needed to download yours so it installed into Windows. Originally I downloaded your program then copied his whole program into the same file. When I transferred the scene & 3D Visualizer files there were 4 files I copied over. All seemed to work fine till I started recently noticing the fixture setting changing as I scrolled rt to lt. I will try the suggestion of making a fresh scene file & see if it acts up. Lots of work required to redo every one I have. Will update at that time.
