new dj spot 250's???

i previously owned two dj spot 250's. I just purchased two more and noticed they are ever so slightly different. At initial power up the two new ones both power the lamp on, the older ones do not, and also the casings are ever slightly different the fan grills are much more open. I was wondering if there is new software for these lights and if so is it possible to update them/ is it suggested to do so. Thanks

We did find that there have been some slight changes. Please call (800) 333-0644 at your earliest convenience and ask for Joe Baez. Joe is our production manager and he would like to speak to you regarding the issues your experiencing.
