Hi everyone love the forum and need some help. My band has played 4 shows and we always opened for someone else now we want to do it alone and of course we know nothing of lights but thanks to this site and others we have found some cool lights we would like to use. We will be playing in some small stages so we don't want par 64's to much light I think 56 will be ok. Now I love the ADJ scan I saw at pssl.com so I want 2 of those I think 6 par56 will do ok a fog machine and a stobe. But now what else. I want some movement some stuff that will make it interesting, something dramatic. I don't like too much light. I see too many bands that have so many cans you can't see a difference when one comes on and another goes off. I see alote of dj's do the same. It's like turning on a light when you are outside in the sun, not much of a dramatic effect. I also don't know if I should get a truss or 3 stands. Any ideas on backlighting. Let me know what you have done and if you have web sites with pics I can look at. I also don't know squat about controling these things. What do I need? Sorry about the long ranting and thanks for the help.
