Well, it's no shocker that I'm asking this question. I'm about to start using more laptops in my live setting. My main laptop is a power monster and it's not well utilized using MyDMX, but at the same time, it handles MyDMX easily.

Many of the new netbooks are super tiny. So tiny, I'd worry about losing them! But, the main thing is that the screen resolutions do not completely meet MyDMX requirements. Fast, compact, lightweight, decent features and more than enough to otherwise run MyDMX.

How rigid are the specs for MyDMX? I would hope that MyDMX would say "hey, you ideally should run at least 1024 X768, but hey, if you want to squish it down, it's not our problem if the layouts aren't as convenient for you".

Netbooks(well, I'd prefer a notebook with an optical drive mainly for software installs) are what I'd say are otherwise an ideal solution for MyDMX.

I already know I can run MyDMX on a Win2K Pro machine, including the 3D Visualizer. Wouldn't be my ideal choice though. So I know there is some flexibility with the stated specs. But since MyDMX came out well after Microsoft stated they intended to kill off that product, it is no big surprise that on the box they don't state Win2K Pro support.
