I am putting together a light show for my new mobile DJ business and want to start using the moving heads.. I was looking at the Accu Spot 300 system (4 heads)or 2 Accu Spots Pro + 2 X-Move Led or 4 X-Move Led. I was hoping to go with the X-Move Leds but can't see in the promo if the beams/ gobos etc rotate like the Accu Spot 300s. It states the gobos scroll but in the promo it states "rotates". If they scroll from one gobo to the next great but what I was hoping they had is the individual gobo/beams rotating effect. Appreciate any info as I am planning on ordering within the next few days.

Doesn't surprise me that some of these first generation LED fixtures are lacking certain features. Mind you, I don't think it's going to hurt sales much right now. I tend to agree with Jingles in the thought that if ADJ isn't offering gobo rotation now, they will offer it in the next generation.

But now, I want to see the light in action before I buy if it's something not in the category of "high tech effects" or Par can and variants on the Par Can concept. If the ADJ video shows what I need to make a decision, then all the better.

Remember, if you don't have the answer you need online, from the video or the manual, call up ADJ's support(when you have it) or pre-sales(when you want to buy it) and ask the questions. I've found staff friendly and wanting to answer your questions thoroughly.

I'm not an ADJ employee, just a sound company. I know how to properly utilize resources to get my questions answered. I'll be the first guy on the phone to get questions answered when all else fails. I'm definately more into the internet than most of you guys, but I have some old school habits that I won't break. The phone is still my buddy. I keep ADJ's number in my phone for ease of usage in case I should ever need it. I haven't needed it for emergencies, but have had to call to order some parts, question an order and ask questions about fixtures.

So, never be afraid to aks. I bet pre-sales takes notes to see what should be added to new fixtures.

Take the Electra. Went from the basic model I bought, then upgraded to be able to run all night and a new case design. The next upgrade was a more powerful lamp. Now an LED version and an LED version with DMX.
Thanks for the info. Shame though..considering the weight differience and the low power comsuption. From what I have seen with the other ADJ products I really don't see adding on the rotating beams etc being a problem for ADJ. Looks like it's back to the drawing board. Chris, I found the support number for ADJ but could not find pre sales number...would you have it there please? Man I really hate the idea of hauling 51 lb lights up onto a truss system LOL.
The ADJ number is for all ADJ departments. Just ask for which department you want to talk to when the person answers the phone.

Yeah, I hear that. 51-pound light onto at truss sucks.

Imagine after stacking subs, putting up the stand and the having to raise 2 75-pound mains onto it, the second goes on top of the first!(see pictures on web site for details, it ain't a fun lift!)

The ADJ movement towards LED makes me mad. It makes me want to trash my old gear and replace it. Less power draw, less weight. Mind you, I think it's the right move, I'm just regretting past purchases of great ADJ gear. Just imagine, if I could have held out 5 years....

Seriously ADJ: Keep the LED fixtures coming!
I agree.

I can't wait until LED really improves and we start seeing this at the big show level. Let the companies that cater to the smaller players start the trend and do their real world testing. This is like what ADJ is doing, and then Elation as well.

I think a combination of additional technology coupled with LED technology will work to refine things into stuff that the top-end users are going to want and use.

In the meantime, my budget is nuked, but I like what the new X-Move fixtures offer. I don't like the fact that a light might be on all night pulling current that I could use for something else. But right now, it's time to start learning to use what I have for the time being. After that, I can move into LED fixtures later on for my next buy either later this year or next year.

Greetings:
All who have waited and all who continue to wait, I have received one of four X move LED, and I can honestly say without any hesitation this is an American DJ hit. Small, light weight, and powerful. I used my one that I received thus far in a club setting of about 300 peoples, and they perform flawless from 9pm until 2 am. I did not have time to set the DMX, just plug them up and let it do its thing. My boss the club owner was where that come from; I was like you like you have not seen anything yet. I am so impress, for those who are waiting for the review wait not longer, this one here the Xmove, is the light for all Mobile DJs and club system to have. I so look forward to the remaining three.

Greeting all
For those still waiting on a reveiw of the Xmove, wait no longer, I should have taken pictures but I didn't so this will have to be all words.
I employed 4 of these lights in a club that holds 3 to 4 hundred, one on the floor on the dance floor in the corner so not to be kicked of disturb, 3 in the D.J. booth window that sits about six feet in the air. They worked flawless though out the night on SH 3, simply amazing, this club set up included the Led Messenger, americandj haze and Tempest 575H, I can say without any dout, if you get these lights you will not have any buyer remorse.
