mymxy malfuncition

well this on my last gig it was the first time i was going to use mydmx so i set up all my fixtures and i also had preprogram my scenes and also effects but when i connected mydmx and started the software it apear as demo also there was a message on my screen that said that my hrdware had malfuntion what can i do?

What kind of computer arer you on? Windows 7? XP? Vista? for vista and 7 is it 32 or 64 bit? Can you tell me exactly what the rror messgae was?

thaks for trying ti help me but i figured out the problem, i was using the wrong usb cable instead of a 2.0

I don't think the "wrong cable" is the issue. I have no problems using MyDMX with an older USB cable. MyDMX is not that picky provided the cable is terminated properly.

I think your problem is that your USB cable went bad. Try the suspect cable on something else to see if it is the cable.

Also, the included cable is kind of a junker. It gets the job done but I'm not pleased with the construction of it. It's also to short for my requirements. I prefer 6-foot cables myself.
