I have bought a MyDMX RM to setup at a venue.

The problem I have is that it keeps saying that it doesn't have enough memory to write the scenes.

I have made 3 scenes (need 3 more). And there are 3 movingheads and 6 RGB strips. Total of 66 dmx channels in use.

The 3 scenes only consist of static colors and no movement.

Can it really be true that the MyDMX RM can't store more than 3 scenes in standalone mode? Because then it is kinda useless when needed for a venue without a PC.

Hi, this seems quite odd, I would hook it up to hardware manager and do into the stand alone section and erase the memory to ensure its really empty and then if there is a firmware update available, do the update then try again. 6 or more scenes with less than 100 channels in use should be plenty.

Are there a limit for how many steps allowed in a scene?

hi! There really isn't a set limit, its just when a lot of scenes that have a lot of steps are made and a lot of fixture data to store....it's really sort of a balancing act in terms of total available memory. You can try lowering the compression before generating an effect too.
