As I also want to use MyDMX play video/images, sound and enter text I tried the following and find myself with this problem:

When I boot MyDMX in USB mode and select in the ScanLirary from the menu the folder _generic the option "image projector" and after draggin and dropping it, I state thate that it only occupies 1 channel of the DMX grid. Then I access the Editor screen and access the Effects Manager "FX", but only the tab "Advanced effects" appears, but none of the other tapbs (color mixing, gradient editor, RGB matrix effects,...)

Do I have to select a something different from the menu folders of the ScanLibrary in order to be able to projet video, sound and text?

Thank you very much in advance for your instructions.

The answer is quite simple:

You don't.

The "image projector" is for running a fixed gobo system. In my case, the Projector 150 with the motor disabled would be how I'd do it.

If you want to do all that stuff, you'll need to move up to a more advanced software package. The features you seem to need are definately outside of the scope of functionality for the MyDMX product.
Hi Channel33,

Ok in the FX Generator what it refers to when it talks about video or text effects is like an LED Matrix. With the Led Matrix you would be able to write words out. Or play video. I have a link to a youtube video so you can see a led matrix setup.

This is from American DJ Europe.

But to get to something like this you would need upwards of 80+ LED Par Fixtures.

Trust me I thought about this for a while. The most ideal and easiest way to do it is with American Dj Mega Pixel LED in 24ch or 28 ch mode. Stack three or four high and a bunch across. It would look like this.

||||||||||-This set up would require 30 American Dj Mega Pixel LED units.

But the way ADJEU did the led matrix was like this. 12 LED Par cans per row across and 7 Par cans per column
