To start, I'm working with an original myDMX 1.0 Controller and a new Lenovo laptop with Windows 8.1 64-bit on it.

The other day I was working on a scene when all of a sudden, all of my lights shut off but immediately turned back on. When I continued on, I noticed that the program had re-written the first and last steps in the scene that I was building (light mode, positions, color, it all changed). The day before it had all worked wonderfully with no problems. I decided to re-install myDMX and when I did that, I got the error "Unable to start a high precision USB timer (Error 69)". So, I uninstalled it, and installed myDMX 2.0 from November 18, 2013. When I started the software, it told me "(1) Interfaces Found" but when the software finally started, I had no control over my lights (the green "USB" LED never turns on). My questions are, has anyone ever come across myDMX 1.0 software re-writing steps in a scene, and if so how did you go about fixing it, and has anyone gotten a myDMX 1.0 controller working with myDMX2.0 software on a Windows 8.1 64-bit computer. I know it's kind of a specific question/topic, but any help is greatly appreciated.
