Hi Guys, I have been using mydmx 1 for 3 years, then updated my laptop to a mac, so carried both laptops around (windows and osx). Just sold mydmx1 and about to buy mydmx2 BUT I am wondering if my Macbook pro will cope with running Virtual Dj7, Qlab (run video backgrounds on a projection screen) and MYDMX with around 20 megapanel up lighters. Wonder am I asking too much from one laptop?

My Mac is a core 2 duo, 8gb ram.

Ideally I would love to use my Ipad when and if the mydmx app arrives :-)

The MyDmx2 App is here, however, it is still running TOO a computer.... There could be an issue with running all of that at once....MyDMX is a complex program and takes a lot of computer to run it... You might fight you crahs out or freeze up your Mac.... Best bet is to run it from a different computer all together
seems an expensive option that really, especially as Macs are very expensive in the first place.

If I am just using it for static room colours, changing 4 or 5 times in one night, does it still take up extensive processor power?

I used to run light jockey, access mp3 files, show video files and that was all done on a PC?
