Hello all, I'm new to MyDMX and this forum. I've inherited a house rig and in the process of making improvements/upgrades, I added 4 new fixtures to downstage hang. I gave them starting addresses of existing fixtures in the chain and all is well except, I would like to have them on their own addresses to facilitate more of a wash and other effects. My show file has 90+ scenes and I am looking for a way to copy/paste channel settings and steps from an existing fixture to the newly added fixtures. I have searched the forum for this topic but have yet to find anything helpful. Do I have to manually edit the new fixtures? Anyone? I would like the new fixtures to replicate most of the existing scenes and will edit as needed...Just looking for a shortcut to copy most of my existing 90+ scenes to the new addressed fixtures.

OK, I have begun editing/adding color and steps to the 4 new fixtures manually to augment the existing rig, so far so good. New question for anyone. I updated fixtures in 3D visualizer and was wondering if anyone knows how to get the stage to mirror left to right in the visualizer. Got the upstage hang of 16 fixtures on 8 addresses, just cant seem to find a way to get 3d visualizer to mirror that config! HELP!!
OK, saving my work done in demo mode and taking it to the venue tonight for a test run. (no show for 2 days, just testing) Sure would like a little feedback from the old hands on this forum. Keep in mind, I'm from the old school, the new software is amazing, I'm just a little behind the curve, playing catch up.

Alrighty then. If you want to know how to setup and run MyDMX , you're the shiznit!. You are in the right place!!! keep posting, keep asking. If you reeeeeeeeeeeeeally want too, and you are not afraid to experiment, you can create some amazing sequences with this app. I will most likely upgrade to MyDMX2 as soon as I figure out MyDMX1, Ha.
Best wishes from FOH at Strummers!

No worries, MyDMX software seems to be pretty intuitive. I would like to know tips, tricks and shortcuts for programing though. For instance, is there a way to grab a control fader on all 10 of my pars to alter all at the same time? Seems labor intensive the way I'm doing it, ie;one at a time.
@jingles Thanks, you know of any videos you can recommend for a MyDMX newbie? The extent of my light programming skills come from old, obsolete technology. Having a good time learning software driven controllers as I go, though. Programming tips and shortcuts from a veteran of this app would be welcomed. The house rig I've inherited has 20 Venue SlimPar 64's in 7ch mode, 4 of which I just added to downstage hang, and 6 ADJ color strips. When touring bands come through, we augment with various fixtures per request. Any advice you offer is much appreciated! Cheers!
