Recently I was inquiring about issues I had with MyDMX 1.0 when I transferred certain MyDMX files from one computer to another (the files that showed updated). I was advised it would be best to copy the whole file over at one time instead of just transferring the files that update.

I have just done a fresh MyDMX W8 install on a new computer. Will it be ok to copy the complete file that was created in W7 into the new W8 install?

Well guys, here's why I'm concerned. A number of months ago I copied the only files I recognized being updated & pasted them into the same program on another computer. I only copied the files I recognized being updated so I wouldn't need to copy the whole file each time. Soon after I noticed when I would moved the slide side to side at the bottom of the screen to see other controls periodically the control positions would change. Say slide 20 was set to 255 & 21 was on 100. Slide the bar side to side a few times & those settings might change on their own. We came to the conclusion it may have been be ause I was only moving those selected files over & not the whole thing. I ultimately redid the whole thing which required remaking over 650 scene steps. It seems to be working now but low & behold I need to transfer to another computer that happens to be W8. I'm scared!
This is the reason I'm asking & was hoping for a solid answer. Thanks for yalls input!
