My VMS4 midi mapping

WOW. this is MASSIVE!

as i've been mapping all my controllers myself, i absolutely know how time-consuming this is and how much effort you must have put in this, plus the very nice explanation with prezi.com ... THANK YOU ALOT!

p.s.: i would be interested in the FX settings alone to maybe implement these in my mapping - ok for you? i assume you chained some fx and saved certain settings that you can evoke by a single push of a button?

Thanks a lot. Basicaly, I start to map my VMS4 because none of the mapping suited me, so I started it in order to make the ultimate mapping for VMS4 and controlerism.

The effect settings alone are on the fifth mapping you can find in this huge mapping(blue mode 2/2). Here you'll find all the settings for the jogFX...
Why Five mapping reunited for one controler? Because this controler mapping already take 14 modifiers (and it's not over...) and the only way I found was to multiply the mappings.

Since you are from EU support, maybe you'll be able to help me improve my mapping.

I wanna know wich midi note the jogweel can send, 'cause my JogFX mapping is still a bit tweaked and I wanna improve his ergonomy. I need to know especially the midi note send by touching the jog : I map the combo midi note (CC048+CC04?) and (CC50+CC05?), but this midi note is sent by the controller when you turn the jog.

i'm not exactly from support, i'm basically a user too, who checks in here in the forums to let the communication flow better between company and users

i have to check the notes out myself, but IIRC, it was a double-note for turning, like cc048+cc049 on the left side and cc50+cc51 for the right side. the touch alone note was different, but this i dont know off my head.

Oh... Sorry... I realy need this midi note. This will realy improve the jogfx settings I can give you. It will be a rocking V2, easier and lighter, with this midi note, because it will make all the reset function I mapped unusefull, and will realy improve the workflow...

Hey msieurpiere first i think this mapping is one of the best i´ve seen...
But if i add this mapping in traktor the vms didn´t work with all features of your mapping...

would you please add the v3 in this thread?!?!?!

Hi! Did you :
1-use the big import button and add click on Everything?
2-import it twice so the fx settings were loaded properly?
3-assign the vms4 to ALL the mappings the big tsi contains.
4-restarted it.

Id you did all of this and have the propre tsi, can you check the modifiées on the different mappings and ses wich differs....

And finaly, if there's a bug, what doesn't work? and finally what is your version of traktor? Do you buy it or is it a cracked version?

MY traktor is version 2.01 I´m sure its not the cracked version

But i want to buy traktor if i´ve got a great working mapping for vms4..
If I can´t find a nice one i would buy the s4 included traktor .. cause i think 400€ for stand alone traktor is a lil bit too expensive ..

You need to put the vms on In and Out on those 5 or 6 mapping documents. It's the only way I found to go over the 8 modifiers limitation...

If you haven't done it do it and restart your software (cause it'll be messy with the modifiers if they are not all assign to the VMS4 before you start toying the table.

If it still doesn't work well after this, explain what you tried and what doesn't work(and how it doesn't work...)

Im really sick and tired of seeing you holier than thou posts here and on NI forums. Love you even had to post on my Youtube channel awhile back. Do you know anything about the software or DJn, or just piracy? Its Loving old, and none of your Gdamn business. I do own Traktor Pro, and this "aight" controller by American Audio. Purchased with cash. But I also have the crack applied so I can freely use it how I want. Alot of people cannot afford the software, or simply want to try these buggy products for compatibility before dropping $100's for nothing. I swear if you were local and I ran into Id have my wife slap your ass. WTF you think you are telling someone to register his software first before giving him some help. This isnt NI forums, dont try policing that shit here. If you actually helped as much as you shoot people down for your unprovin piracy accusations, you might be a good moderator. You really need to get off your knees and stop suckin NI and AA ass. You act like you get paid to moderate a forum, that is quite frankly not too much help compared to the other forums. I really dont give a crap if you delete this or try banning me from here or there. Dont care. I own alot of NI products and software, and no I wont tell you what email address I registered my software with. In fact its because of your attitude with everyone, about this issue that I give away links to cracked Traktor to anyone I see you knock or asking a question about "Gray Area" issues. Fair enough, maybe I jumped the gun, I apologize. I would like to see more helpful posts from you then policing someone's method of aquiring software. Most people pirate because they cant afford the software, eventually most pirates purchase. And I know all about rules of the forums,etc regarding piracy. I moderated one of the most popular Xbox modding forums on the net for years, and we had MS constanly trying to catch us up, and even there users were more free to talk then NI or here. Anyways I truely am sorry, I should have picked a better time to address this than on a noght Ive been drinking. I will back to my lurking now. BTW I do also get paid for doing several things I love doing DJn being one of them. It is definitely a great feeling.

And to the OP, sorry for jacking your thread. Your mapping is the BEST out there, a little complex, and Im totally gonna have to retrain myself in how I use the VMS4, but its gonna be fun. Peace, Love, & Music

Wow... what a scuffle...

@freshfluke & edje: please be kind... I guess it's "normal" to crack a program to test it, but it is not to ask support wich is clearly an added value... When you crack a program, you have to be prepared to be alone... That's essentialy the reason why I use Linux for everything except djing (and that I even occasionaly use mixxx with my vms4).

@edje : concerning the mapping... THANKS, a Huge THANKS... I know it's a bit complex, and that it's not realy over, but I have a huge hole in the right foot, wich push me away from my classroom, so I'll do a bit more of mapping these days... I allready remap the led output on the left part of the VMS, and correct few bugs with the modifier, and started mapping instant fxs (wich turn the whole buttons on into a fx machine dedicated to one deck)

I actually work on the sampler (wich is a clever usage of the beatslicer.

You could be having issues with the TSI file not working properlly because you have the 1st software release of Traktor 2(2.0.1) this TSI file may had been made on some newer version of Traktor 2 IE: 2.0.2 and some of the commands are different and did not exist on your software version. This is why it is important that your software be upto date.

Check with the mapping creator to se what version of Traktor 2 they used. if you have an erlier version it is the MIDI commands if you have a newer version it should work you may not have your settings correctlly.

regarding the traktor forum, my working hours are not enough to keep up with the english board, i'm mostly in the german board now - maybe this led to this perception. something that's true for both forums: there is also stuff going on behind the scenes, sometimes i help in the dialog between support and a user.
