Hello I am new to the hold DMX lighting so bear with me please. I just downloaded the mydmx 2.0 software and bought the interface, but I can`t seem to find where the 3D program is to preview my show

It is not available yet. They are working on some bugs with 2.0 and once that is sorted out, they will develop the 3d generator.

Ok guys great, this is already an answer to one of my questions ;-)
I just spent $200 for mydmx 2.0 and I can't believe that the 3d editer is not on the disc, yes I know it will be in a future update but the point is as far as I"m concerned the software was rushed out incomplete. For the price I paid for hardware and software I expect a complete version. NO EXCUSES

MyDmx2 is a complete program. The 3D is its own program into itself which is an Add-on. MyDmx2 runs with or with out the 3D. It is not required to run correctly. We will release it, however, it will only be after we work out the inteface between the MDX2, the Mac display systems, and the 3D program.

If you rely on 3DView for your shows, you probably should just plug in your lights instead of using an emulation. There are tricks to get MyDMX2.0 to work with other 3DViewers using DMX Output
You also need to understand that most 3D programs out there that you can buy for your DMX lighting consols...COST YOU about as much as your MyDmx2 program did... for the cost of how much you bought MDX2, you are really getting several programs that other companies charge you for each one
